MARSHALL DSL15H - HEAD UNIT
RE-TOLEX TO MATCH THE MJ212V – DUAL 12” 130W MAX
What do you say if the client asks, “Can you make my head unit match my custom cabinet?” You say “YES! We can absolutely do that!”
This Marshall DSL15H all tube amp head was wrapped in the traditional Marshall black Tolex with white piping. The old Tolex was removed, the head unit was cleaned and prepped, then redone in the Wine Western Tolex to match the MJ212V – Dual 12” 130W MAX cabinet (shown in photo and on the “Featured Enclosures” section).
The client was ecstatic to finally have a matching stack!

This 1990's Laney Pro-Tube just needed a little bit of love! The client ripped this out of a full sized unit, made it into a mini head and wanted to give it new life with some black Tolex... HRMV was up to the task! I was very happy with the result and the client was thrilled!

PEAVEY RAGE 158 - REPURPOSED
OK before anyone goes “It’s just a cheap Peavey”, yes, it is, but this cheap Peavey Rage 158 has sentimental value! So yes, it WAS worth the time and effort.

It was a warm late summer day back in 2005, a little breeze blowing though the hair, perfect for our outdoor wedding. The day was pretty much going good... UNTIL… 2 hours before the wedding, the karaoke style PA system we were going to use for the music and singing DIES! Now let me explain, where we were having the wedding was very rural and the closest place to pick something like that up was an hour and a half away!
THINKING, THINKING, THINKING… GOT IT! Start calling the closest pawn shops!
Y’all this Peavey was the ONLY thing we could find within the time frame of the wedding! Plugged a 1/4” mic into it for the singer, and 1/4” into the CD for the music! And believe it or not she worked! SERVED ITS PURPOSE!!!!
After 19 years in the closet and then in storage, as well as being chewed on a bit by our dogs when they were pups, the little Rage got some new life! Busted up the combo for a cool little mini stack to suit my taste! Added a fresh new 10” WGS Veteran speaker in lieu of that little 8”! It sounds great and it’s now dubbed “The Mini Rage” 1510 by my wife!

This cabinet was designed to fill the gap between the bass and lead guitar by offering a deeper
low end sound through the greyhound as well as a crisp and defined sound from the BV-30V
The slanted design allows the lows to travel along the floor and the highs above
This cabinet can handle everything from classic rock styles to heavy metal crunch with ease
